What the Design Center is
Two things: a set of planning tools you can run yourself, and a team that will do the whole design with you. The second is available now.
Most storage projects stall in the same place: somebody knows the room is not working, nobody has a drawing of what would work instead, and the only way to get a number is to ask for a quote on products nobody has chosen yet. Give us the room and what goes in it, and that loop breaks.
The tools are being built to answer the fast questions — how many linear feet fit, which cart configuration matches the procedure, how much a compacting bank recovers. They stay planning aids: final layouts and specifications require Labs USA review, and dimensions are field-verified before an order goes in.

This is the part that is live. It is six pieces of work, and you can stop after any of them.
What it costs and what it obligates
The assessment, the floor-plan review and the first layout are free and carry no obligation. We ask for the room and the requirement; you get a drawing and a parts list, yours to circulate.
On a renovation, department move or new build the same work runs alongside our design and planning support, so storage is specified with the rest of the equipment rather than after it.
What we do not do: interpret standards, certify anything, or make clinical judgements. We specify equipment and design to the criteria your team hands us.

The fastest way to get a real layout back is to send a plan. Use the contact form and attach whatever you have; if the file is too large, say so and we will send an upload link.
A photo of a marked-up printout is enough to start. What helps most is the constraints a drawing does not show.
- Room dimensions, or a plan at a stated scale
- Door positions and swing direction
- Columns, sinks, drains and anything else fixed
- Ceiling height and what hangs below it
- What you store, and the tallest carton height
- How many people pick or restock at once
- Dry, humid, wash-down, cooler or freezer
- Anything immovable, and dates the work must fit around

A storage design is a set of decisions, most of them about the room rather than the catalog. These are the ones we work through with you.

Specifications come from the manufacturer
Every number in a specification we issue is the manufacturer’s own published figure for the model quoted: shelf and unit capacities as evenly distributed maximums, depths, lengths and post heights, finish suitability by environment, and warranty terms confirmed per finish on the quote. Quantum Medical’s current wire, plastics and polymer shelving literature is the source, attributed rather than restated as ours.
Where a figure is not published for the configuration you want, the specification says so and we confirm it with the manufacturer before quoting.
Buying standard items online instead of specifying a room is a different job; say so in your request and we will point you at the right ordering route.

From drawing to installed room
A layout that cannot be installed without closing the department is not a layout. The install plan is part of the design: we sequence work so the room stays usable, build the new bank in one half, move stock across, convert the rest. Deliveries follow dock availability, and packaging leaves with the crew.
Lead times differ by family and finish, so the quote states them per line: that is what lets you decide whether to phase a project or do it once.
