Proper installation determines whether your casework performs as designed — or creates problems from day one. Labs USA provides professional installation by factory-trained crews who understand laboratory casework, utility integration, countertop systems, and the precision required for a functional laboratory.
Every installation includes site preparation verification, cabinet placement and leveling, wall anchoring, utility rough-in coordination, countertop installation, hardware adjustment, and a final walk-through with your team. We handle everything from receiving dock to first use.
Installation Process
Pre-Installation
Site verification, floor leveling check, utility rough-in confirmation, delivery coordination, and installation schedule.
Cabinet Placement
Base cabinets positioned, leveled, shimmed, and ganged together. Wall cabinets mounted to studs or blocking with seismic anchoring.
Utility Integration
Plumbing connections for sinks and cup sinks. Gas connection points. Electrical raceway installation. Vacuum and air line routing.
Countertop & Finish
Countertop placement and seaming. Backsplash installation. Hardware adjustment. Final cleaning and punch list walk-through.

Before We Build: Field Verification
Architectural drawings are scaled, but finished rooms rarely match them exactly. Before fabrication we confirm the critical dimensions on site or from your field measurements, so the casework fits the room you actually have.
- Wall lengths, inside and outside corners, and columns
- Windows, doors, outlets, data drops and plumbing stub-outs
- The footprint, height and clearances of every instrument that sits on or under a bench
- Floor level across each run of base cabinets
Approval drawings show those confirmed dimensions, and your team signs off on them before anything is built.
Site Conditions We Plan Around
Angled or out-of-square walls
Filler panels, angled countertops or a custom bench so the run fits the geometry, even when the angle is not on the drawing.
Uneven or older floors
Base cabinets are leveled on adjustable feet or shims, and tops are scribed where walls are not straight.
Instruments not purchased yet
We hold instrument bench lengths open until the footprint is known, or use a movable table.
Occupied labs and phased work
Rooms are scheduled in sequence so your lab stays operational during installation.
Who Installs: Our Crews or Your Team
Labs USA can provide full installation, or supply the casework, work surfaces and fume hoods for your general contractor or in-house maintenance team to install. Coverage differs between Labs USA installation and owner installation, and we spell it out on your quote so you can compare the options side by side.
Either way, plumbing, gas and electrical connections are made by licensed trades. We coordinate service locations with them in the approval drawings.
Coordinate Early With Your Contractors
If drywall or HVAC design is coming up, your mechanical engineer needs fume hood sizes and exhaust and fan data first, and your plumber needs sink and service locations. We can send those dimensions ahead of the full casework package when your schedule requires it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ships separately, and what isn’t in the quote?
Casework rarely arrives as one shipment. Work-surface tops usually ship on their own pallet, separate from the cabinets or table frames, and sinks, faucets and eyewashes can arrive separately from the casework. Before delivery, check the quote line by line for faucets, sinks, eyewashes and plumbing hookup: if a line isn’t there, it isn’t included, and final connections are made by licensed trades. Tell us your room-turnover date and we will confirm what is shipping and when, so nothing is missing when your contractor needs it.
Can my own maintenance team or contractor install the casework?
Yes. Labs USA can install, or supply everything for your contractor or facilities team to install. Ask how each option affects coverage before you decide so you can compare total cost, not just price.
What if my room has an odd angle or isn’t shown accurately on the drawings?
Send photos and a tape-measure sketch of the wall. We design to the real room using filler panels, angled tops or a custom bench so the run fits.
Do you need final instrument dimensions before fabrication?
For instrument benches, yes. We can finalize those runs last, or design a movable table if the instrument has not been purchased yet.
When should fume hood and exhaust details go to my HVAC contractor?
Before ductwork and drywall are finalized. Tell us your milestone dates and we can send hood sizes and exhaust data ahead of the full casework package.
Can Labs USA install in an occupied lab?
Yes. We regularly install casework in active laboratories. We plan around your operations — working nights, weekends, or in phases to minimize disruption. Dust containment, noise mitigation, and safety protocols are standard for occupied-space installations.
Does installation include plumbing and electrical?
Labs USA coordinates plumbing and electrical connections during installation. For new construction, we work with your plumber and electrician. For renovations, we can provide complete utility connections through our trade partners.
Do you remove old casework?
Yes. Labs USA handles demolition and removal of existing casework as part of renovation projects. We dispose of old cabinets responsibly and can coordinate asbestos testing for older installations if needed.
