Fi-Streem III- Distillation, Type II Water Purification System

- Description
- Specifications

Through distillation, the Fi-Streem stills remove a wide range of impurities such as inorganic ions, dissolved gases, organics, particles, bacteria, and pyrogens. The Fi-Streem sills will consistently produce ASTM Type II, pure water.
Ease of use is done with the simple press of a button to make the still operational. With the press of two buttons, the still will go into a clean mode.
- Economical
- Consistently pure ASTM Type II Water
- Reliable and effortless use
- Multiple safety features
- Highly efficient
- Easy to install & simple to clean
- Space-saving design
- Wall or bench mount
- Connect to tap or pretreat source
- Multiple options available
- Liters per hour
- Voltages
Designed with dual feed capabilities, the still can be connected to a tap or pretreat water source. It will optimize the efficiency of the still plus it can decrease scale build-up within the boiling chamber, creating less maintenance for the lab.
It also has a space-saving design and can be placed on the bench or wall. Each Fi-Streem comes with a wall mounting bracket.
Our Fi-Streem stills are also economical and versatile. They are available in a variety of flow rates, voltages, and in a bi-stiller option. The float switch also allows flexibility to be hooked up to a tank or carboy so that the still will shut off once the reservoir is full.
There are also numerous how-to videos on our YouTube channel to aid in installation, operation, and maintenance.
The Fi-Streem produces Type II water via distillation. This process of purification can remove a wider range of impurities than any other form of purification. This helps expand its applications and can be used for:
- Preparing buffers & reagents
- Media preparation
- pH solutions
- Spectrophotometry
- Bacteria & pyrogen removal
- Cell culture preparation
- Glassware rinsing & washing
- Inorganic ion removal
- Particulate removal
- Hydroponics
- Solid-phase extraction
- Top off lead-acid batteries
- Pharmaceutical research
- General Chemistry
Again, this type of water is needed for many basic lab functions so it can be used in a variety of industries. Some of these again include colleges and universities, water treatment plans, research labs, oil, coal mining, concrete plants, and grain processing plants.
Pricing varies as there are a variety of options to choose from to meet a lab’s needs. There are options for flow rate by liters per hour and also voltages. At the end of the day though, pricing is still competitive.

Which one fits your lab?
- Trace analysis (IC, ICP, ICP-MS, AA, mass spec): you need Type I water at the instrument. That is the Rapids.
- Buffers, media, glassware rinsing, feed to autoclaves and washers: Type II is enough. The Cascade is the lowest-cost option and needs no power at the wall.
- Bacteria and pyrogen removal with no cartridges to replace: a Fi-Streem still.
- Both grades: a Cascade or Fi-Streem can feed a Rapids. LabStrong makes Rapids cartridge kits for RO/distilled feed (D003310KT and D003311KT) for that setup.
Not sure? Send us your feed water source, the volume you use per day and the instruments you run, and we will match the system and cartridge kit.
